The THEATRE of MEMORY…Since the dawn of human history, sites of cultural memory have been a focus for community reflection, ritual and identity, in the landscape, the city, and the arts.
The centenaries of foundational events of our states and societies bring an opportunity to reflect on what we think is important about defining moments in our past. Can reconnection with, and questioning of stories of the island of Ireland- home & exile, of nations, of heroes & heroines, help us to find our bearings today, and to revision the future?
